I had the exciting opportunity to work with AOC Salon on their rebrand and website redesign. With two locations—one in Ghent and the other in Virginia Beach—AOC Salon has been a beacon of excellence, effortless luxury, and creative expression in Hampton Roads since its founding in 2008. The salon is not just a space for hair care, but a place where artistry and community thrive.

Here’s a peek into the process.

Step 1: Branding & Mood Board

AOC Salon had an existing logo that they loved, but they needed a refreshed look for their brand colors and fonts that represented both their locations and their unique aesthetic. After reviewing their questionnaire, it was clear they wanted a warm, friendly website with a repurposed, unique vibe, which aligns perfectly with the feel of their salons. I selected an organic, modern font duo and created a color palette that brought out the charm of both locations.

Step 2: Copywriting

Once again, I collaborated with Stephanie from Stelly Marketing, who provided beautifully written copy for the website including the bios, services, career page, and about page. Her work always brings out the heart of a business, and AOC Salon’s vision came through clearly in every section of the site.

Step 3: Building The Website

In addition to updating the aesthetics, I integrated some exciting new functionality, including e-commerce for their hair care products. Now, clients can conveniently purchase the same products used in the salon directly from the website. We also linked the site to Boulevard, their booking system, making it easier for clients to book appointments seamlessly. AOC Salon already had stunning photos and videos of their space and team, which helped showcase their brand beautifully.

Step 4: Launch

With everything in place—from mobile optimization to SEO—the new website launched smoothly. AOC Salon now has a site that fully reflects their creativity, luxury, and commitment to their clients.
